Description
Sluggish — I have wretched sleep patterns, rarely getting more than two to three hours at a time. I’m up right now after two hours of sleep. That doesn’t really bother me though, because I wake up mentally alert and ready to go. Eventually, I’ll get sleepy and take a brief nap, but I’ll still be a bit sluggish today. Rats!
Agitated — It’s incessantly windy right now, and quite frankly, I’m a bit tired of hearing it. It noisily rattles the siding and makes the house (built on piling) tremble. It’s all very agitating. High winds are pretty common here because we live near open water, and no doubt, I’ll eventually get used to them. One thing’s for sure, however: I definitely don’t want to be here when a hurricane threatens.
Faintly uncomfortable — We moved to our Outer Banks home last October, after living in our Virginia home for 21 years. I love our new, downsized house, but making the change has been less easy than I thought it would be. I’m not yet fully adjusted, and every day I wonder how much longer it will take to be fully comfortable.
Thankful — High winds and difficult adjustments aside, I’m very grateful for many things right now—especially for my son’s new “job.” With our financial aid, he opened an e-cigarette/vape store, and business is going quite well ($10,000 in sales during the first month!). Knowing he’s finally settled into a job he loves gives me much peace of mind—as does his 14 months of sobriety.
Happy — No matter what, I remain a happy person. Few things really bother me. I can sleep when I’m dead, wind puts me in touch with nature, and being in a new home is an adventure. In other words, it’s all good.
I'm so pleased your son's business venture is doing well and, as always, I am in awe of your ability to always see the positive in things. You are such an inspiration:)
